What we collect

When you buy from us, ask for a quote, request samples or sign up to the newsletter, we collect what we need to do that job. That is usually your name, delivery and billing address, email address, phone number and the details of the order itself.

Why we use it

We use your information to:

• Take, pack and deliver your order and handle returns
• Answer your questions and quote for work
• Send order updates, delivery notices and receipts
• Send marketing email, but only if you asked for it
• Spot fraud and keep the site and payments secure
• Meet tax, accounting and other legal duties

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Payments

Card payments are handled by our payment provider, not by us. Card numbers are not stored on our servers. The provider keeps the details it needs to take the payment and to handle chargebacks, and it has its own privacy notice covering that.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed, and only with companies that help us run the business:

• The ecommerce platform and hosting that run this site
• The payment provider that takes your money safely
• Couriers and freight firms that deliver your order
• Fitters, when you ask us to arrange installation
• Email and analytics tools we use to run the shop
• Accountants, insurers and lawyers where the law requires it

Some of these companies are based outside your country. Where that happens, we use providers that commit to protecting your information to the standard your local law expects.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser stores. We use them to keep your basket, remember you are signed in, and understand how the site is used. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the site, the basket in particular, will stop working properly.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Quote and enquiry records are kept while the job is live and for a reasonable period after, in case you come back to it. Marketing preferences are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or tell us to stop sending marketing. You can also object to some uses of your information.

Email Add support email and we will deal with it. We may need to check who you are first, so nobody else can ask for your records.

Children

This site is meant for adults buying building materials. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us their details, tell us and we will remove them.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when the way we work changes, or when the law does. The date at the top always shows the current version.
